It was Nepal Night at the Wilderness Medical Society’s winter conference in Park City, Utah. The team that put it together, Jenevieve Suzanne Kincaid, Paul Queior and Tony Islas, did an amazing job.

Tony was up on stage introducing the speakers and told stories about how he became involved with Wilderness Medicine, his friendship with Wongchhu Sherpa and his commitment to the hospital. Fellow speakers, Luanne Freer, Eric Johnson and Paul Auerbach passionately spoke of how Wongchhu influenced their lives and the importance of doing good works. It was an inspiring evening and Musa was so proud to be a part of it by premiering our promotional film about the hospital. The silent auction and our Musa table helped to raise money to complete phase one of the project. Thanks to the staff of the Wilderness Medical Society and all the members who contributed to this special evening. Jam Jam!!

Musa Masala is pleased to announce the release of a short film promotion for the Wongchhu Sherpa Memorial Hospital. We have used both still and film footage to help show the progress of the buildings and the need to fundraise for healthcare for the people of the Solukhumbu Valley.

The short was produced and directed by Mike Ji, with film and photography by Dr Tatiana Havryluik. Gabe Harder did an amazing job editing the film!

We give big thanks to Dr’s Paul Auerbach, Luanne Freer and Eric Johnson for their help. We also thank Pem Dorjee Sherpa and Lakpa Sherpa from the Himalayan Yokpu Foundation. Thanks to Phula Sherpa and Lakpa Sherpa for additional photography.

We hope that all organizations, clubs and events will go to our YouTube channel and use this promo to spread the word about the important changes this hospital will bring to the lives of the people of the valley. We look forward to the opening in October of 2019 and are very happy to be a contributor to this healthcare necessity.
